Montgomery’s Queer Youth and Young Adult Social Program
Creating a safe space for queer youth
COLORS United is Montgomery’s premier program for queer youth (13-18) and young adults (19-29). We offer weekly meetings, year round clubs, and several larger events throughout the year to bring the community together!
Highlights
Youth and Young Adult social group- Meetings every other week featuring games, pizza, and fun!
Monthly Art Club- Every month we will practice a different medium of art ranging from acrylics to jewelry making, no experience necessary!
Monthly DnD club- Every month our Youth and Young Adults meet at separate tables to play Dungeons and Dragons, no experience necessary, drop-ins welcome!
Yearly Prom- May of each year marks our yearly themed prom! This is an all ages community event where we provide an affirming prom experience for all identities. If you can’t or didn’t attend your own prom, we would love to have you at ours!
Volunteer Opportunities- Need work experience? The Bayard Rustin Community Center Thrift Store is always looking for volunteers. Get experience that you can use to fill out a resume by running a cash register, checking out customers, and sorting donations.
Meet our facilitators
Every event that we hold is handled by our staff of dedicated facilitators. The members of our team are all long-standing volunteers that are background checked and trained to help elevate and support our youth. Opportunities to get involved as a facilitator yourself are always available once we get to know you!

Get Involved!
Joining COLORS is free! We are happy to provide all of our programming at no cost to participants. The only time you will ever be asked to spend money at a COLORS function is if we are having a fundraiser. If you are Gay, Bi, Trans, GNC, questioning, or any other identity, and in the age ranges of 13-19 or 19-29; you are eligible to join!
